Microsoft's Office 365 outages pile up: Growing pains or uptime issues?

This month's Patch Tuesday arrives early, apparently by mistake

"The premature release is a major gaffe for Microsoft and could cause headaches for security professionals. The appearance of the security bulletin, which includes details about the vulnerabilities being fixed, is the starting gun of a race between bad guys trying to build exploits and IT pros scheduling patches to be applied on desktops and servers."

Non-Newtonian Fluid on a Speaker Cone

Corn starch is a shear thickening non-Newtonian fluid meaning that it becomes more viscous when it is disturbed. When it's hit repeatedly by something like a speaker cone it forms weird tendrils. The video was shot at 30 fps and the speaker cone was vibrating at 30 Hz which is why there is no blur. This is the original video with the actual sound of the speaker.

THAT made me think of something from my younger day...something...FUN.

Cornstarch, salt and water....I don't remember the exact proportions...but it's easy to trial and error it. When mixed together, these 3 ingredients form a very strange liquid that is hella fun !!

Whewn in motion, the resulting fluid becomes almost a solid...aka...a bowl of this stuff shaken from side to side and then inverted will not spill. BUT, when the bowl is left sitting on the table and you slowly place ur fingers into the liquid, it acts like a liquid...but then take the same bowl and PUNCH the surface of the liquid as hard as you can and the result will surprise you....your fist will barely dent the surface.

Even better are the pseudo "food fights" you can have with this stuff. Keep a plastic soda bottle of it handy. Pous a small amount into ur hand, keeping your hand moving side to sie rapidly....so it doesn't run thru your fingers. THEN when the unsuspecting "enemy" approches...throw the glob at him/her rapidly....it will stay in a glob as it flies thru the air....but upon contact, it will instantly revert back into a liquid. :D

Best part is, it's 100% non toxic, doesn't leave any stains, washes off with plain water and is actually edible, tho I wouldn't recommend eating it...it tastes horrible lol

I don't know why, but we always added salt as well...
