I mean 150 years of rain and snow should have worn it down a little bit

It's not that. It's that nothing is where it's supposed to be...dimensions wise.

/e I live in and work on a 1908 bldg. Trust me, it's no fun. :)

It has which is why it needs replaced. Rafters have collapsed badly. I'm just deciding on 2x5 or 2x8 rafters or have some trusses made up for roughly the same price.

At a 6:12 pitch 2x6 rafters is fine.

/e What's the span?

10' with a 16" overhang. Roughly 6 1/2 ' wide. I've already put 2 9" microlam to replace the aging beam underneath. I'm just thinking in terms of labor of custom framework vs engineered trusses and I can make more money out of it because trusses will take half the time.

That works. Trusses seem a little over kill to me...but hey. :)

/e Will expect before, during and after pics, ofc.

The Spy Who Came In From The Cold (1965)

...spy movie
...black & white
...no action scenes
...no special effects

Still, an excellent movie.

I dunno...they made stuff pretty tough, back in the day. I'd take new construction over old...any day.

It's much easier to remodel/repair new construction than older construction.

I mean, should I? Starting a new contract next month with a rather large signing bonus. The whole thing would be under a custom loop. The 1080's are place holders for the EVGA Hydro Coppers (provided they come with a custom BIOS).
