Well other than ridiculously weird RAM timings... I'm up and running. I'm too tired to mess with the RAM right now.

Win 10 Home (x64), and the latest Firefox. When I'm done with Win 10, it's gonna look and (hopefully) act like Windows XP-7. :D

Check with bios and hwinfo if you want confirmation
Aida64 does take awhile at times to get things reporting new things correctly at times
Are you using ryzen master at all?

Not using any ASUS utilities atm. BIOS says the RAM is at those timings. Even if it didn't the AIDA Memory Bench is pretty awful. This RAM is twice as fast as my old DDR3 RAM, and the benches are... worse. :)

There's something in the BIOS called D.O.C.P, which is apparently like Intel's XMP setting. But I don't want to mess with the timings yet, until I get a backup done.
I've still got a few more programs to install, before I do the backup. I'm just not feeling too BIOS risky, w/o a backup.

I still have the CANON camera software to install, and something like CCleaner, and some kind of registry cleaner as well. Plus, I'm not too impressed with the later versions of Acronis backup software either.
I've been checking out AOMEI Backupper, which is one of the few that doesn't toss in everything AND the kitchen sink. I just have to make sure that when it restores from a backup, it can over write the MBR as well.

And yeah... I didn't install to GPT partitions... cause they make backup software LESS able to completely remove any damage to the boot record.

Lastly, I really don't like Windows 10. MS really dropped the ball with this OS, as far as I'm concerned. It's almost like they went out of their way to hide just about every damn setting on Win 10. :/
It's like they took the GUI from Win 7 and used a blender set to frappe... on it. If there is a method to their madness... I haven't found it yet.

Just file Explorer then arrow in address bar to get to old fashion control panel
Or use classic shell and have options to get to both control panel or the new settings shit
And make sure you go through pc settings to turn shit off especially in privacy,
And with updates every month checkto see if shit has been turned back on hasn't been like that for awhile but check though

I put a This PC icon on desktop, right click that, and there's control panel. I read a ton about Windows Update "turning stuff back on".

My next project is to get rid of everything with a RED dot. I've found ways to remove some of them with registry edits, which work sometimes, and also get overwritten by WUs.
I seem to remember there a Power Toys program for Win 10, like they used to have for XP. It's not crucial, but I don't need all that crap.

I'm gonna attempt CCLeaner for the present... mainly to clean all the browser crap. Won't try any Registry cleaners till I get a backup made, which is the next project.
I liked Classic Shell, but again... WUs would keep changing things and that forced CS to need updating alkl the time. I may go with CS, but atm, that's a low priority.

The BIOS, for some reason, set my RAM timings way high...

So, I manually set the RAM timings to what they are supposed to be...

/e Went back and set the trc to 48, as listed in the XMP profile...

RAM specs from manufacturer...

Weird. I tried downloading the latest Nvidia driver. It downloads fine. Then when it's on my desktop, I can't do anything with it. Even right click > properties, takes like... forever to open.
Only seems to happen with Nvidia drivers.

I'll admit it... I'm confused.
