very good guide.....but remember this is the original posters OPINION only
I personally prefer LED/LCD > plasma
and some new plasma TV's still do suffer from burn-in fyi (it's just less common than pre-2007)
Again, a very good guide though
Thanks, I appreciate your comment but it is not merely my opinion that plasma is better than LED/LCD. Black levels can be measured, and it is a mathematical fact that lower light output = darker blacks = better picture.
The same with colours. 6500 Kelvin is the sweespot colour temperature and plasmas are always closer to this number. You can't really be subjective about colours either, the more accurate the colours are, the more detail you get from the picture.
Another aspect of an HDTV is the input lag... Although its not that easy to tell, plasmas have significantly less input lag (say typically 15-20ms compared to LED/LCDs ~30ms)
Also, post 2007 plasmas
DO NOT SUFFER FROM BURN-IN it is called "image retention" and is only temporal.
Yes, plasmas can get image retention but that goes away... after a day.. LEDs can get clouding, which is just as big as a problem.
