why would you ever do shit like that

rather take a hammer to my chip in a vice

but the rockit thing worked good for me

Can't safely use the vice method on skylake though, PCB is way too thin.

What kind of temp drop did you get when you did yours?

Quad gaming mouse rock bungee, its stainless steel and really heavy/solid. I've tried a few other mouse bungees and this has been the best so far.
