I have no clue what I'm looking at and I tend to think I am fairly used to looking at schematics and fabrication blueprints.

You don't need all the dimensions for this. Machinists can infer them with about half. For example your bigger rectangle is 19.0, your smaller is 16.0 and the leading edge is 1.5, you don't need the secondary 1.5 on the far edge since it can be infered via (19.0 - 16.0 - 1.5)

Likewise with one of the 1.75 values. Although it depends on the shop and who makes the piece.

You can also work off a CL (center line) and reduce the number of lengths given by half.

I think your software just sucks or you used the wrong line tools and makes the entire thing messy and hard to read. If you made them thinner than the actual drawing lines it would make it easier to understand.

I wouldn't doubt it. I literally have not used cad in 12 years LOL.

It's a side panel what you're looking at and yes it's really 2 rectangles. I just need the smaller one machine out for a smooth/clean finish.

Going for a tempered glass panel vs this horrid acrylic that i have.

I can infer all the data from your drawing with this one. Example your vertical spacing would be inferred as (16.0-12.0)/2 = 1.75, and your horizontal spacing can be inferred as 9.5-8 = 1.5, behold the glory of symmetrical blueprints.

Although I did use two colors to make things clearer, but in the end less numbers, easier to read when working off a CL. If you wanted you could even add your spacing between rectangles (1.5, 1.75) and it would still look better.
