I doubt they can afford that....when verizon did it....they only got rolled out to about 1/4th of the US till they had to stop....the Optiical Network Terminal...that is mounted outside your house, to handle the fiber...is very expensive...think of it as an outdoor modem.

Google this:    Verizon ONT photos just to see what the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) looks like...then realize that that's just part of it...

It also has a battery backup unit...usually placed in cellar or basement....so it has to be wired to ur houses electrical system, then the fiber from the pole to the ONY...then the coax to house..or in my case  coax for the TV and Cat5e for the internet...lotta hole drilling  etc....takes about 4-6 hours to install.

google seems to charge u 300 bucks and sends it into ur house for 7 years free or charges u 70 bucks 1gig up down no cap

so IDK how the rest of these idiots cant its fucking sad ur paying more then a dollar per a mb up and you also stuck with a fuckin cap google charges less then 10 cents and they tell us we dont need 1 gig speeds if we dont charge us the same as google charges us divide their speed by their price then get .08 charge us the same n lets call it a day

its comical you even defend them their profits on internet is at fucking 97%

I doubt that AT&T would replace their current coaxial cables that go from the nodes to the premises soon, but my current/newest residence was built in a newer neighborhood than my last one, yet Comcast decided to use coaxial cables from the nodes to the houses instead of fiber optic cables, and my last residence had all fiber because of AT&T!
