I believe I read studies that young children introduced to hi-fi by their parents tend to inherit their desire for good sound.

I am a perfect example of that theory at least, when I grew up my dad had the biggest TV / loudest sound system around the block, first one to get a DVD player, CD player etc when they launched...

I have to use the mixamp since it's the only way I can use wired headphones on ps3. I won't use it when on PC though if it would sound better without it.
