I doubt they can afford that....when verizon did it....they only got rolled out to about 1/4th of the US till they had to stop....the Optiical Network Terminal...that is mounted outside your house, to handle the fiber...is very expensive...think of it as an outdoor modem.
Google this: Verizon ONT photos just to see what the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) looks like...then realize that that's just part of it...
It also has a battery backup unit...usually placed in cellar or basement....so it has to be wired to ur houses electrical system, then the fiber from the pole to the ONY...then the coax to house..or in my case coax for the TV and Cat5e for the internet...lotta hole drilling etc....takes about 4-6 hours to install.
