i want an unboxing, somehow you need to do cameraception

I understand...but it's really gonna take me a few days or even weeks, this is my FIRST digital camera...not even a $99 Coolpics in my closet anywhere :) I know photography...it's just that they went and changed the hell outta the cameras....since I last took piics and did darkroom work. ^^

/e I got 363 pages of tiny print...just the English manual...before I ever mess with the camera...plus until gadget bag gets here...I really got no where to store it cept in the box it came in....which by the way, after repeated attempts; I still can't get all to fit back into to. :D

/ee ATM, my #1 priority is getting the comp desk setup (it should arrive today or Monday if the company doesn't work on Sundays. I'm afraid with the monitor, squeezed into such a small place as it is now.

UPDATE:

Well I'm 1/3 of the way thru the 363 page Canon EOS Rebel T4i manual, and I feel completely confident that I could ...maybe safely charge and insert the battery...and possibly even get the SD card inserted ....and a very strong outside chance that I could MAYBE do a single still shot...on all auto LOL

I have a stupid question though....

Do these DSLR cameras, have ANY storage of their own, or is it all done on SD card?

point and shoot cameras do. i dont think any real dslr cameras do. its much easier to put in a sd card then take it out to edit the photos. also shooting jps/raw takes up a hell of allot of room.

edit:: learn by playing with it lol. text will only explain so much you have to use it to get a feel for it.

anyways unless you leave the caps off for a extended period of time you wont notice dust on your lens while taking pictures.

I realize that...it's more about the internal workings, I'm concerned with...I'll get there...I'm just really tired today...and need a little more time with this manual...it's huge...but it has trons of 2 sentence directions that all have: see ALL the info on page so and so :/

Plus I'm doing like 20 things at the same time these days oor trying to lol
