So I haven't posted in awhile but I thought I'd do a little update. I'm thinking about quitting my major of network security, and get my welding certs through the sister school. Bought my first gun a semi auto remmington 522 viper. It's not the best since it can't even cycle a whole magazine without jamming 2 times, so that needs taken apart and cleaned. And I'm forever building my fishing gear getting ready for the season. Got 2 new reels and am hopefully going to tournament fish this season through my school. Also have to get the boat ready

Also try a different brand of bullets, Some guns are finicky when it comes to bullets.

Nope not yet but I got some. I bought it off a older guy who said he didn't fire it muchanges. But I was going to clean it well.

And Rikuo not yet I have to get a complete kit. And I know they are. But I have a hard time believe that it's anything to do with the condition of the gun rather than the design itself. I read a lot of forums on it and a lot of people have this problem brand new. Also the plastic magazine is shit I guess which is what it has sooo 50 magazine it is... just have to get the money. But for now it's fine for home defence, and maybe a occasional coyote hunt with buddies.

You need to oil your rifle for it to extract properly. Also don't hunt coyote with a 22 please. Use a larger caliber or you'll just maim the poor bugger but won't kill it. Use it to shoot snakes, rabbits, possum, and other small game. Getting a metal mag or a decent polymer plastic one will feed better. Rikuo is right. Some guns hate some ammo. My Marlin 336 hates Hornady ballistic tipped rounds. (.35 Remington)

Scope is mounted way too low, ordered higher rings that ended up not fitting the scope... So now i ordered a 1" rail riser instead.


First mod is going to be a better handguard.

I planned on it. I'm just saying I don't have much hope since it's a major problem with the gun from what I've read. And 22lr is sufficient for coyotes, everyone we've shot with one has killed it. In fact in WV the highest caliber for coyotes that can be used is a 22mag. And I know some guns hate certain ammo I'm still just doubting the gun design lol.
