Challenge accepted.

I might have to buy a decent router just for this challenge if I had the money :< I have a few nice huge copper heat sinks I could put in them.

I doubt any router you can buy will beat the clock I managed on this nice ivy bridge chip with the water loop.
But hell if anyone can prove me wrong it'll be you.

Intel I-7 3770K - 3.5GHz, 8MB Cache (OC'ed to 4.9ghz/1.39v core with IHS Mod)

I had to down clock cause I sold the loop to a nub and just settled with a stock on the h100.
don't really need that much power nor is it worth killing the hip for imo.

I was joking like. Even if I buy a newer router with a dual core chip I doubt I'd be able to push it past 1ghz.

All my routers I currently own would be maybe 300mhz->500mhz if I rigged up some hacker active cooling to it.

Fine lol. I am going to try this though. Might pick up a router off craigslist or something and flash it and see what I can do. My only spare routers atm is this shitty netgear which I don't think I can flash, and a TP-Link MS3020 which I don't want to destroy. My linksys wrt54g, dlink dir-835, and TP-Link wr703n are all in use atm.

Don't forget to buy some hot rod flame stickers.

I'll also put in some blue cold cathods. Get an extra 20mhz OC on it.

I overclocked my IB 3770K to 5.1GHz. Big deal. You can't do anything with it.

That is with the IHS on and it took like 1.65V or so. Terribly unstable. Hahaha

I think the whole point is a stable over clock.
