if you had a voodoo card you would get same experience

glide wrappers arent only for d2

d2 was created like sushi said for 3dfx, all a wrapper does in use opengl to use 3dfx

They do technically modify D2 though (which is illegal based on their ToS)

It just translates 3dfx Glide to OpenGL, since Glide was originally based on OpenGL.

Game's original developed GPU binding code gets converted to OpenGL. = Low level modification (not like modifying items, or in-game shit), but still technically a modification.

You are thick in the head. A glide wrapper is just a compatibility layer on a system level. It runs off openGL which is just a graphics processing engine (similar to windows' direct x or Vulkan).
It doesn't actually change the game, it just makes it work since the actual engine it was written for doesn't exist anymore.
It's only a third party application because it doesn't come included with an operating system or the game in general. It's no different than Window's compatibility mode or WINE.
Also, if you want to get into the ToS itself, it says explicitly that Blizzard has right to authorize the use of third-party software, which is has done in multiple forum posts on their website since the original release of svens glide wrapper.

Now please stop posting about this as it does absolutely nothing to help with the OP's problem.

As I said, I know it doesn't "change the game" but it does indeed modify the core source files (original GPU code, brevik, and other devs wrote). Which is technically a modification, and falls under their TOS.

Also, I find it hilarious how you keep dodging and not admitting you were wrong. The employee never recommended or endorsed the wrapper, of which you said they did (post #20). You must be those kinds of people that think they are never wrong, kind of sad really.

irony at best.
inb4 everyone is out to get cluelessMiller doublestandardz excuse!

Morning Kang,

As of right now we're focusing on compatibility and bug fixing for Diablo II. While a higher resolution would be awesome and on our radar, as of right now it's not top priority.

A Glide Wrapper would not a bannable offense.

I appreciate your feedback,

-Clásico

yup links proof he cried for, still says he's dodging and stays in denial. "not a bannable offense" from an employee is clear as day as being okay to use.
quite sad really :(

I already admitted I was wrong about the citation, and told him.
However, he's still wrong in saying that the employee recommended the wrapper, when the employee just said it's okay to use. Entirely different.

You should continue to make "prebuilt walmart jokes" and be rude to all the new pc people in the other forum, suits you well.

Oh I know how it works. I'm just saying, it technically modifies the D2 experience, which is technically against their ToS

If they are allowing it, they need to make an exemption to their terms of service.

all i see is more denial and still trying to argue it, and then calling others sad for not admitting they're wrong. So amazing.
if that's your way of admitting you're wrong , then just wow. lmao i can't even
getting all pitiful and going after his wording in post #20 to save some face, kudos to you sir.

prebuilt walmart jokes? what joke? u?
if im rude to all the new pc people, why do i get PM's from them for help to avoid ur clueless spams?
why do some even call you out on their own thread?
just because you're sensitive af, doesnt mean everyone feels the same way as you :)
