@ghot.

The only setting that could possibly do this (can't recall its name but) is a setting that over allocates memory but its actually kind of rare on mobo's
and I've only ever seen it on server grade boards. I'm not talking about allocating ram to work as vram either for a gpu.

It can very well be bad ram, bad board, bad cpu.
Can rule out ram simply with memtestx86.

There's a setting in the BIOS for what version of Windows he is installing. W/o resetting the BIOS before install, there is no way to know.
See step, #4 in the pic above.

Sometimkes motherboard manufacturer's mess around with a motherboard's BIOS settings (for w/e reason) before they sell it.
I've seen this happen many times. Depending on w/e BIOS setting they mess with...it can cause all kinds of weird problems.

/e Btw, this is what it says in his motherboard manual...

I don't know what version of 64 bit Windows he tried. But it shows that there is a setting in the BIOS, that could be causing the problem.

what in the hell?
so the issue is the fact he bought the usb version?

edit: and its windows 10 usb

That pic is referring to legacy support not cpu instruction support.,
its kinda obv as it no where mentions x86 or 64 bit.

Art stfu.

OP, reset the BIOS to defaults, then try to install the Windows 64 bit version again.

I assume his copy of 64 bit Windows is....Windows 10 64 bit?

According to the manual...he CAN"T install Win 7 64 bit from a USB stick.

For Win 8.1/10 the BIOS must be set to Win 8.1/10

Yeah, and learn how RAM can go bad...partially...lilke how a 4GB stick can show 2.2GB. It's NOT bad RAM, or it would show up in Speccy. :/

/e The manual says: he can't install Windows 7 from a USB stick.

@OP............What version of 64 bit Windows was he trying to install when it failed? Win 7 or 8.1 or 10?

/e It looks like his BIOS defaults to the NOT Windows 8.1/10 setting.

He needs to reset the BIOS to defaults...THEN go into the BIOS and set the: Advanced > Windows OS configuration > Windows 8.1/10 WHQL support to...ENABLED. <---- this is assuming he's trying to install Windows 10 64 bit.

I really hate MSI motherboards and manuals.

At OP, you BIOS defaults to installing Windows 7...unfortunately.
You need to ENABLE the setting above to install Win 8.1 or 10....properly.
