get another 2 to keep the air current flowing for frond and back,
you keep pushing positive air flow on people and you dont even use it
positive will not keep dust out anyways, and will create air pockets to heat up
near balanced and/or negative will keep an air flow which is great for temps
You stated this in this thread.
The extreme tech article says this, for positive case pressure:
Quote
Benefits
Air is expelled from any gaps or holes in the case, meaning that every opening contributes to cooling.
Less dust will get into the case.
Which, is what I told the OP.
They also said, for negative case pressure:
Quote
Benefits
Good cooling performance for enthusiast setups. <<<Not applicable in this case.
Amplifies natural convection.
Linear and direct air flow.
Compatible with DHE graphics cards. <<< Not applicable, as DHE vid cards are reference cards.
Augments the performance of downward-facing CPU heatsink fans.
Drawbacks
Dust is more likely to gather in the system as air is drawn in through all openings.
Passively cooled video cards do not gain much benefit.
And without quoting to save space, the techspot article:
Quote
Cons: (for positive case pressure)
· Severely inefficient in the long run: More air is going in than out. So air isn’t vacated fast enough.
Yes this would be true, IF we used ALL the OP's fan locations, with fans and still had positive case pressure. Which again, is not applicable, as the air will freely escape from the top un-fanned locations.
There is nothing wrong with the links you are posting. The only thing I can see is you are not interpreting the information correctly as it applies to the OP's situation.
