thats all fine that a later heatsink is #2, but it doesnt make every one before it a knockoff.

it WAS the first with exposed heatpipes...on the bottom... like I said...so any that NOW have exposed heatpipes ARE knockoffs.....AND check this...

acxtually the plain Hyper 212 was the first with the bottom side of the heatpipes exposed...the 212+ is sorta tied with Prolimatech

It's well known its got a great cost/performance, when I do my 2500k build, after I sell my current computer, I'm going to do a push/pull config with one and oc the shit out of that sandy bridge.

@ Breakpoint....I said the CPU coolers with the exposed heatpipes are knockoffs....and they are.... the Mugen doesn't have them...the Mugen however is the coolest of them all with the optional 4 fans...too bad one wrong move and there goes ur CPU...the thing is a tank...for a 2C degree win....Ill take the lighter...safer Hyper 212+ lol

just get something with a decent amount of pipes. the fins really dont heat up. even at 65c on a hot day, they feel just about room temperature.

they transfer heat off very fast because of the ammount of fins so you wont really feel a difference if you touch the middle of them, if you touch the bottom ones on the sides you will though

it won't do much if you got an ac taped to the ass of your pc.

maybe 1-3 degrees possibly 4 at full load...

I aint worried about it...thats a GTX 280 in there now...I just use Riva Tuner to crank the fan up from 25% to 100%
