Hard to tell from the pic, but some of those welds look a bit jenky

Because they are. I did the ones you can see :rofl: When i pick up a grinder i'll clean them up. I'm not by any means a welder, Only welded like 4 things in my life.


Also; that plate is just to keep sticks from jamming into the winch/etc. It holds no structure to the winch mount & the only weight it holds is the line going through the fairlead.

All about heat, cant say I would do any better but I have become pretty damn good at soldering, how different could it be? XD

So is my brother-inlaw. He did all the actual structure welding on it. It's not coming off. I just did those brush/fairlead plates 'cuz why not? Gives me some practice in welding, Welder was barely working at the time too.

Those are actually the worst welds i've done, I usually do pretty damn well. My Bro-Inlaw was like... no fucking way thats your first time welding, When i first tried about a month ago lol
