I'd suggest against this. If it gets in the eyes/on skin its a serious issue.
Plus it can induce vomiting/stomache issues in the cat.
The reason I suggested lemons is cause it has zero risks and a pleasant smell vs the alternative.
You can also use cayenne pepper but its the same issues.
