/e  The "ENTERPRISE" drive of choice is the RE series.  No that's not a typo...the RE is a Black with same warranty but rated for 24/7/365 ops. They cost about $25 more than the Blacks.


Purple drives are rebranded Reds with slightly different firmware that is tuned for both RAID use and 24/7 uptime.

call wd and ask them why i had 2 laptop hard drives fail on me that were both WD within 3 years when i rma'd the laptop through lenovo.
