rims aren't the smartest thing to plasti dip ill agree
but for what it is, it's great
a dude i work with recently plasti dipped his truck
it looks like complete dogshit cause its peeling...where water was sitting and it didnt dry completely
For an emblem/etc it'd probably work fine.
I mostly see people do an entire bumper / side skirt / etc. And it just turns out terrible.

exactly, you need to wash it and make sure the wax is off the paint. Once that is done, clean it again with some 409 or if you want to, you can buy actual product which is made for plasti dipping (no real need too)
Let it try for couple hours and then apply 5+ coats.
I don't know anyone who powder coats so I can't do that to my rims.
It's gotten quite popular, Do a quick google search near you.
Can usually get it done for 30-50~ per rim, Pretty much lasts a lifetime. Only way to fuck it up is to curb it, Its even gas/etc proof
