/e Btw, I will need a 4GB or greater vid card...remember I also have the TV hooked to the vid card...so If I'm doing stuff on the Dell U3011 AND watching a movie on the TV...that'll be 2560 x 1600...added to the TV is 1920 x 1080p....correct ?

Well according to UPS this much of my order will arrive late in the day on Tuesday...Looks like camera and Monitor will arrive somewhere tween Thursday and Saturday...maybe even as late as Monday or Tuesday the following week...just guessing...I kinda expect the Monitor Thursday or Friday this week...and the Camera...near the same time or a few days later.

UPDATE:

Just got email from Newegg...just shipped monitor today...still no results on tracking info...yet :)

ALSO:

Am in the process of ordering this color Granite Desktop slab (not from Home Depot and their minimum order was $1250, and this will cost just over $600).
The Granite slab will be 68" x 24" ...and just in case anyone opts for this type of desktop, be advised, that for a mere 30" span between the file cabinets, require a 3/8" thick steel support plate.

The layout when finished will look something like this:

That's what my brother in law and sister did with their entertainment center. Just got like a granite counter top slab and 2 unfinished single cabinets. Set the slab on the cabinets and have their tv on it.

Yeah, I'm totally psyched about it...I sent a mechanical drawing to the Granite folks and now just wish they would get their ass in gear...a little faster than they seem to be...I just rcvd the shipping confirmation email on the Dell 30 inch monitor lol

/e ...and it will fit on my current comp desk....but just barely....like 1/4" to spare

note the white line drawn on the "my area" pic....that is how wide the Dell 30 will be....my current CRT monitor is 17.7 inches wide, and the DELL is 27.36 inches wide lol

...and although you can't see it in the picture...I can't move the comp to the ...right but about 1" more than it is....the file cabinet it's sitting on, can't be moved to the right at all :/

/edit ...oh and the white rectangle to the lower right of comp case was when the air conditioner was in windows....which ofc, it isn't there NOW :)
