This among other reason such as software updates, device life cycle, and the creation of expensive accessories over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again forcing me to buy the same but slightly different piece over and over and over and over again. Disagree with this post. The current iOS updates speed up older phones they don’t slow them down like you may think. I was considering getting a new phone since I have an iPhone 6s but with iOS 12 the phone is like new again so no need to get a new one. My old samsung phones had some hardware issues and would have never lasted as long as my iPhone has. iPhone is probably the best phone to buy if you don’t want to upgrade for a long time imo. Even my dads iPhone 5s is still supported with updates and has no issues.

Old ios updates slowed down phones on purpose. Google it.

You don't need to upgrade an iPhone because they haven't done anything new in years. New iPhones are the same as old iPhones.

I know that’s why I said current updates. I don’t need a new phone because my current one functions as well as when I got it I wasn’t referring to features.

My S7 works great too. Wish it had better speakers like the M8 did.

1080p AMOLED, big battery, fast wifi and radio cards. Don't need gaming. Don't need fancy potato pictures. Don't care about storage size or expandable bullshit.
