Depends on the game if cpu intense game still be 7700k
Any meaningful examples? Most of the ones I can think of are like "wew look at this game getting a crystal clear 112 fps on kaby lake, it's like looking through a window! Meanwhile Ryzen struggles to maintain a barely playable 100 fps!"
Every current game is more than playable on ryzen regardless of fps difference, and games that use more than 4 cores in the future will be far more playable than they will be on kaby lake. There's no reason to buy a quad core right now.
