there is many msi/asus/ and if you raise the price you can get custom ones with desktop cpus

how does the hardware even compare because of one nvme drive on overpriced shit brand?

Name. One. Link to single computer that compares to mbp with both specs and price.

Where is the overprice again, because you still have not shown me a competitor that's substantially cheaper for the same specs.

GPU is intel iris pro 6100. I gave you link to compare with GPU in the $1099 asus.

Note: OBVIOUSLY you can buy cheaper and more powerful laptop. This was never even debated. I am asking for comparable laptop as a whole ^_^

should I mention I have desktop pc for games?

I said before: compare screen, battery, cpu, ram and disk. Not just cpu as you do. You can't be one of those people that only care about CPU GHz and number of cores? sure then you can link me to $300 acer with i7

From the shop page you linked I went to laptops -> 13" or less -> 6 found.
From 6 found, only 4 qualified: $1099 (+$99 for nvme; still much worse than mbp overall), $1599, $1799 and $1999

Where do you see cheaper comparable laptops? I want to know, I might need to buy one for my wife soon.

tl;dr NVME has 3x lower latency than AHCI and allows it to utilize 4 pcie lanes. I wonder what is exact disk the default m.2 in this asus? m.2 itself can be 5x faster than SATA III, nvme makes it even better.

But fiine, let's go with default m.2 for $1099 vs $1300 mbp. $200 difference for 2x display port, hdmi, 57% faster gpu, faster cpu, 4x bigger resolution, 3 hours more battery (and we silently ignore disk difference and things like force touchpad). Is this how mbp is SO overpriced?

No idea. What is laptop odm?

what other laptops.

I am asking for bazillionth time to link to a single laptop that is comparable AND cheaper. You linked me to a store page, and I told you of all of them, four qualify, three being more expensive than mbp and one was slightly worse than mbp and cost $200 less.

Read my lips: single. laptop. comparable. cheaper. Got it?

We're comparing to 13" laptop  but pick in range 12-14 if you want.

You'd pick it because it's $200 cheaper yes?

Okay just to be thorough, checked 15" laptops too. They all weight 5lbs+ and have 2-4 hours battery life, how the fuck is that comparable to 12

And go check the prices if you select anything above fullhd resolution. One laptop costs less than mbp, and it fucking sucks, only has SATAIII. And should I mention i7 in it is worse than i5 in 13" mbp?
