Will have much higher input lag.. but any decent 4K tv will have much better general picture quality than any monitor. Monitors have like 1000:1 contrast lol..

Deoending on the monitor.

Va panels have like 4000:1


My 1440p 144hz ips measued out at just over 1100:1

Yeah I was referring to IPS panels which typically have anywhere from 600-1500:1 ANSI contrast. Which is the same as LG IPS 4K TVs.


Samsung uses S-PVA panels as does Phlips, Vizio (mostly), Panasonic (mostly) and Sony. the best PVA LED-LCD TVs get anywhere from 2000-8000:1 ANSI contrast.


So you could get a cheap 4k 55" Vizio with like 5000:1 contrast that'll look a lot better than IPS for movies in particular.
