load times/10

Load times weren't even a 1% difference

Yeah...

Why did no one mention iGPUs?

Because no one is dumb enough to skimp on ram in an apu build unless it is an extremely tight budget

Point is AIDA64 showed pretty good results for dual channel vs. single channel.

....and we all know the other reason to buy sets. Is that later on if you want more RAM, you won't end up with mixed IC's, diff PCB versions etc. AIDA64 results, are just icing on the cake.

No you are just too stubborn to realize that 99.99% of the time mixed ram doesn't matter as long as the timing and clock are the same

As far as iGPU goes, the Intel Iris and 5000 are pretty damn good. 4GB is a lot but no one realizes that because Windows waste so much RAM. Run a solid Linux platform and steam or gog games. One 4GB stick goes a long damn way.

i was playing watchdogs on almost max settings in 1080p
couple tabs open
used 3.6gb ram

ppl think 8 is a must
even on 500$ builds

Intel's RAM interface is more efficient than AMD's, but I bet that iGPUs might show a noticeable benefit with dual channel versus single channel RAM, especially AMD's latest APUs.

I'm too lazy to search for benchmarks, but AMD's Kaveri APUs had a raw speed benchmark showing DDR3-2133 with a good gain from 1866, so I assume that single channel 2133 versus dual channel 1866 would be about equal regarding iGPUs.

The only viable logic I have regarding dual channel is parallel vs serial file swapping.
