preparing for the future of gaming. doubt they want their "console" to be obsolete sooner rather than later.

cuz they wanna make 4k the "new standard"

Affordable 4k TV's and affordable 4k gpus are still a couple years off. Plus a single titan can't even handle 4k now.

Who knows...maybe they want/need the extra CUDA Cores for something  ???

maybe its just PR ^_^

They've made it clear in the past that they are going to have different versions at different price points. The Titan model is obviously the higher end one, which is what most people care to see tested so they can know how far it can push.

thanks :)

not even 2 titans or 2 290x handle 4k well, you need to lower setting.

2560-1440 or 2560-1600 are the next tier, but then 1080p is only barely a majority with like 23%.

But 1080p is 1080p no matter how big the TV/monitor is.

Yeah I know that...you seriously expect TV's to stay at 1080p forever :/

/e Guess all those 720p TV's were just my imagination :/

/ee When the MPAA gets tired of all the pirating, they'll switch to a higher res.

Yeah but let's be honest Ghot. No home user needs a titan and a 3930k to play games off of steam on their 1080p COD gaming tv.

They won't but UHD tvs won't be affordable for at least 2 more years and current gen (~ $1k) single cards can't even run 4k well, if at all.

1080p will be the standard for another 2 years at least so a titan is kind of dumb for a pc/console on a HD tv.
