Why are you getting involved with this? The benefits rendered are so miniscule as compared to the cost of hardware and electricity.

Ghot is right: It's a pyramid scheme.

who said it was my hardware or electricity? programming goes a long way.

I don't pay electricity, nor do my parents, so it doesn't effect me. Also, a 6950 is around a 5870, two 6970s are faster than a 6990. I will get like 700-800 Mhash/s(I had my 6950 and my 6970 OC'd to 1GHz with only a .025v increase).

depending on what application you use they work independently and not together. so you will only be getting 270-400mhash/s per card which is the same as mine so you will only make 1 coin per 38 hours per card depending on tracker.

So how much MH/s are you getting? That will be the real determinant of how much BTC you get.

I've done about 5 hours on my rig with one 6970(I'm waiting for my second 6970 to start again) I was getting getting around 380-395s.

that's about .2 btc an hour. isn't that much.

but hey, if you're not paying for electricity, and your hardware can take it, why not? free money

That's what I am telling people. Tax payers pay, not my parents, if my parents paid I'd just ask for the money straight up. In a couple days I'll have 100 bucks or so, and once I get 300 I'll be adding 1 dedicated miner, and that way I can mine while gaming.
