Well wouldn't make sense if they priced it any higher. Since they just now reached i7's performance with 2 additional cores.

Would be major failure if they priced it above the i7 920.

AMD has to price them this competitively atm b/c they don't have the performance crown.

Back when AMD owns intel, AMD procs were not cheap.
