you have a fan controller? the industrial ones are HIGH RPM, not gonna be as silent as the noctua you are familiar with. and the grey ones are cheaper, due to some stuff taken out like the rubber corners.

something to consider. their not just new colors

Hm I b noticed the high rpm, but the dB is pretty high as you said.
Not sure if the grey fans will look nice either with my build. Maybe I should get corsair af/sf's

I'm giving strong consideration to using two of these to build a desk.

Can anyone attest to the durability of these? Can they be moved to a new home without falling apart or sustaining damage?

I'm attempting to build this before August:

I'm trying to find book cases similar to those that are about 29 - 32" tall.

I'm going to be using Oak for the top most likely. I have eight feet to work with on my length. So the desk is going to be 8 ft long. The width is dependent on the cabinets, but I really enjoy having a deep desk especially since I'm going to be buying a triple monitor stand. I enjoy having space for my textbooks, etc. Plus, this is a nice present to my girlfriend and with her working towards her nurse practitioners license, she has A LOT of homework/paperwork/text books to go through.
