Valley responds well to high memory clocks.
Also with Sandybridge, 5GHz is really not that difficult to obtain.

My highest suicide runs were pushing 5.6GHz at 1.65v and temperatures were in the 80's which is perfectly fine.

Running 4.7 @ 1.42 atm

tried 4.8 it just instantly crashed.

I'll stay at 4.7 untill skylake comes out, Dont want to go too far since it is pretty much summer now.

Wtb overclocked ddr4 /drool

I'm not too scared of doing the custom loop honestly, just worried about dropping like another 6-700 on the parts for it

Are you really comparing heat/oc limits between two completely different intel generations / die sizes? :/

Would love to see your score after you oc your cpu.

Curious if it affects it.

i am. i see people with 4790k's at 5ghz 1.35v etc and im like wut how i hit 80c at my current clock/voltage
it's just confusing. 1.515v on any chip will run hot as fuck no matter how the heat is transferred away from the chip

1920x1200.

Re-apply thermal paste?

You should get way less than 80c @ 4.5ghz

im talkin about under like p95 28.5 (the 'bad' version) on max fpu stress
blend it's like max 65c. and i literally just put the thermal paste on, it's brand new & applied properly.

yeah 27.7 and 27.9 run a good bit cooler than 28.5 for some reason
i think it has to do with the avx instructions, iono.
