I want to know how far the Gulf has receded around Mexico and towards the Yucatan. With all the rain and the storm surge hitting the Texas coast, the rest of the Gulf in the area must surely be lower.
I don't think the Gulf CAN get lower. It just fills in from the Atlantic, etc.
