I would've probably done the same thing. I don't even understand how someone could play this game on a tablet or smart phone etc. It's plenty hard enough on a desktop with a huge screen.
I raged too, at first. Then I figured out a few things.
1. When you click Play and then choose the game you want....it starts looking for someone for you to play against. Sometimes it finds someone like 20, 30, 40 even 50 levels above you. You can refuse to play, by just clicking "refresh" on the browser. You won't lose any money.
2. The other thing is, get a good cue like the Palladium. Notice in the pic below of my four cues.... the Palladium is cheap to recharge, has an extra 4 seconds, and has a super long guide line.
3. For me personally, I run the browser at 133% magnification, cause I'm an old fart and wear bifocals.
4. Last of all, yes there are jerks on this game. Just remember their names and levels, and refuse to play them, as mentioned in item #1.
