Just parked at work.

The GFX card was hanging down at about a 30 degree angle. Right before I left, I tried pushing it in / sliding it toward the front / lifting. Now it’s upward at a comical 45 degrees, banging into the CPU cooler. When I get home I’ll have to try to push the clip in on the bottom. I was only really getting force on the top half of the clip before.

Unfortunately, I don’t really have the money for a new GFX card. We’re doing the Dave Ramsey stuff. I had to save for 5 months, work a 2nd job, and use X-Mas cash toward this thing. IDK - frustrating as shit. I’ve never had a component just up and die on me in the 4 builds I’ve done.

Maybe if you would have spent less money on headphones (and stopped listening to people on this crazed subforum that they are worth that much), you'd have enough $. js

When I built the computer in mid-January, in the middle of the crypto craze, new 1060s were more than $600 if you could even find them. In that situation, I made the right decision. If cards were anywhere near MSRP, I would have obviously bought a new card that hadn’t been mined on.

Just ignore that. You don't have to defend your purchases.
All anyone should care about, is that you get your comp working again. :)

I got it out.

Good news - ASUS made them to be broken. Took me 10 seconds to re-attach it - makes the click sound and looks to have same functionality as the other 2.

Bad news - I left my computer on since this morning and it BSOD’d sometime today

Haven’t froze yet, but I’ve had 5 BSODs. 2 uninstalling nVidia GFX drivers, 2 installing the updated driver for my processor GFX, and 1 right as I was getting into Windows. 3 different reason codes between them.

Just going to reset the PC totally - we’ll see if I get any errors without GFX card & totally fresh

To be honest, part of me hopes it is something else - one of the RAM sticks. 🤬

Well money wise, I can understand that.

There's a free program called BlueScreenView here: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

You could run that program after a BSOD, and post the results, that will help us find what's causing the issue.

I’ll run it once I get there.

Windows BSOD’d near the end of the reset. I pulled one of the RAM sticks out, running with 8GB now. Repartitioned the SSD to erase it, installing Windows again for the 90th go 😰

Since I already tried A2 and B2 with one stick, I’ve got the other stick in A2 now.
