but to make you a little happy at least.. i chatted with amazon and asked for what i should get. i cancelled the xps and went for a asus vivobook with i5 8250u for 499, added a crucial 256gb ssd and gonna put this shit together for her.

inb4 still sucks. i cant change it... wont spend 2k on a girl i barely know just to make her brother smile.

Small difference between 950m and 1050, dual core fine for me over quad (same speed). Doesn't have an ssd. Don't care about backlit keyboard. $60 difference, but over $100 after buying an SSD for it.
