What do you people even have on your computer that you are so afraid of other people accessing?

All my pc is used for is assignments, downloading movies and playing games. Bills are either paid from phone or a secure laptop not used for anything else really.

Personal photos are a big reason for most. If not, the next is music followed by movies/TV shows.

No one wants to download 10000 songs again

Wcry Cryptolocker Exploit is ransomware. Ya know where they lock up your whole comp so you can't do anything but re-install.

/e Well, you could also just pay them the money they demand to have them unlock your computer for you. :/

/ee Microsoft is aware of the problem and have released update/patches to protect you...assuming you install them.

Should be backed up, or people use things like Spotify now. Photos should be on your phone or ssd or cloud. Don't you guys delete stuff after moving it to an external?

This thing seems blown out of proportion

I use Acronis True Image...it makes encrypted backups, that are accessible from a bootable CD.

/e I also keep up on things like this, and am very careful.
