A 1070 can play pretty much any AAA title at 60 fps on 1440p maxed out.

Even if it can't consistently push 100fps, there is a bonus using an extra wide display in a lot of games. But if you can afford such a monitor, you can probably afford the extra hardware anyway.

I could but dont feel like cranking out another 1200 dollars for gpus etc.

Widescreen is like 8.5/10 on the cool scale

Hate no videos support the resolution without sacrificing the actual picture to stretch the screen.
