I could never drop $1100 on a chair no matter how comfy it is. That's just stupid. Up to $500 I can see but anything after is just like why....

Because it's extremely comfortable for HIM. Why would you pay $500 for a chair? That's just stupid. You can go to an office supply place and get a decent chair for $150 or less. :bonk:

Why wouldn't you spend all that money on a chair wtf.

It's the same idea as spending a whole bunch of money on a real nice bed to sleep on since you're gonna be using it for 1/3rd of your life & won't even be conscious.

Because I make good money and spend time on my PC often, and have a warranty that lasts 12 years is why?

I also, didn't spend 1100. I spent 500 (Discount through work) but I would gladly spend 1100 on this chair.

I bought a DXRacer a while back. But before doing so, i asked them, what would suit me the best?

So they sent me a long ass email, with all their available once and the sizes of them.

Once you choose the series, it's really a matter of personal taste (aesthetic--color, fabric, stitching, and features--adjustable armrests or not) within each series. The biggest thing is choosing the series for your body type, height/weight. Do you want a "fitted" race car feel (F/D/R/I/K series) or do you like a more open executive chair type of feel (M-series)? Here is a thumbnail sketch of the different series we carry...

All of our chairs offer head and lumbar pillows to help alleviate pressure on the lumbar
region of ones spine.
The Formula Series is the smallest, most standard chair that we offer. If you are over 5'11, it may be too small.

The Racing Series is geared towards the taller, slender body type.
The density is modest.

The Drifting Series is a great chair for more cushioning. If you are quite broad in the shoulders,
it may not be the best for you because the "wings" on the side of the chair have padding.

The Max Series is also a really great chair for cushioning and shoulder comfort(depending on
broadness/narrowness). Weight max is 330. The MNs have an extra lever, the Multi Functional Mechanism,
that allows you to lock yourself in the "leaned back" position. The MMs do not have this feature.

The Classic Series is the XL version of our Office Chairs, which offers soft cushioning and will support taller individuals.
Includes the Mult Functional Mechanism.

The Iron Series is one of the newer chair series that we offer. The max weight is 400 lbs. Also
offers the Multi Functional Mechanism to lock in the 'leaned back position'.

The King Series is one of the larger chairs that we offer. It is the widest of its kind in the fitted racing series. Max weight is 300 lbs.
All K-Series have the Multi Functional Mechanism option to lock the chair back in the 'leaned back position'.

Formula Series: This is the smallest, standard chair we offer. If you are much over 5'11 - it will probably be too small for you.

Back Height: 33 in
Shoulder Width: 22 in
Seat Depth: 19 in
Seat Width: 19.25 in
15 in (front)
15.5 in (back)
Seat Height: 16 in (lowest)
19 in (highest)

Weight limit: 265

Fits up to 5'10 feet

Racing Series: Geared towards the taller, slender body type and the density is modest.

Back Height: 33.5 in
Shoulder Width: 21.25 in
Seat Depth: 19 in
Seat Width: 19.25 in
13.5 in (front)
12 in (back)
Seat Height: 17.5 in (lowest)
20.5 in (highest)

Weight limit: 265

Fits up to 6'2 feet

Drifting Series: This is a great chair for more cushioning. However, if you are quite broad in the shoulders, it may not be best for you because the wings on the side have a lot of padding.

Back Height: 31.5 in
Shoulder Width: 21.25 in
Seat Depth: 20.5 in
Seat Width: 21 in
14.75 in (front)
12.25 in (back)
Seat Height: 15 in (lowest)
18.5 in (highest)

Weight limit: 265

Fits up to 5'10 feet

*Some Drifting chairs do not have adjustable armrests*

Max Series: Also a really great chair for cushion and shoulder comfort (depending on how broad/narrow you are).

There are 2 different models in this series - the MMs & MNs. The MNs include the Multi Functional Mechanism that allows you to lock

yourself in the leaned-back position, bucket and all.

Back Height: 32.5 in
Shoulder Width: 21.75 in
Seat Depth: 21.5 in
Seat Width: 20.75 in
12.5 in (front)
11.75 in (back)
Seat Height: 17.5 in (lowest)
20.5 in (highest)

Weight limit: 330

Fits up to 6'2 feet

*All armrests are adjustable(up/down) and pivot inward and outward*

Classic Series: XL version of our Office Chairs, which offers soft cushioning and will support taller individuals. Includes the Multi Functional Mechanism.

which allows you to lock the chair backing in any 'leaned back' position.

Back Height: 36 in
Shoulder Width: 24 in
Seat Depth: 21.5 in
Seat Width: 23.5 in
23.5 in (front)
20 in (back)
Seat Height: 19.5 in (lowest)
22.5 in (highest)

Weight Limit: 400 lbs

Fits up to 6'3 feet

*All armrests are adjustable(up/down) and pivot inward and outward*

Shoulder Width: 22 in
Seat Depth: 20 in
Seat Width: 21 in
18 in (front)
15 in (back)
Seat Height: 18.5 in (lowest)
21.5 in (highest)

Weight limit: 400

Fits up to 6'2 feet

*All armrests are adjustable(up/down) and pivot inward and outward*

King Series: The largest & widest PC Gaming Chair chair we offer - Max weight is 300 pounds. Includes the Multi Functional Mechanism.

Shoulder Width: 23.5 in
Seat Depth: 19.5 in
Seat Width: 21 in
16.5 in (front)
15 in (back)
Seat Height: 19 in (lowest)
22 in (highest)

Weight Limit: 300

Fits up to 6'6 feet

*All armrests are adjustable(up/down) and pivot inward and outward*
We try not to say things along the lines of "yes, you should buy this chair" or "no, this chair wouldn't be right for you" because it's all based on personal preference.

My post was sarcasm... Perfect point with the bed comment though. Its amazing to me that people will spend $30,000+ on a car, yet buy some cheap bed to sleep on for 8 hours a day. Most people are in their cars 2 hours a day at the maximum. The difference between a car and a bed is you aren't seen in your bed. However, people see you in your car. It's the materialistic world that we live in today.

Just thinking out loud here.. I've seen a LOT of these threads, and there are countless dx racer haters as well as people who love them. Chair comfort is completely subjective to each individual user (unless people jump on the lover/hater bandwagon). Everybody will like something different for their own comfort level. I prefer a chair with NO extra lumbar support, wooden arm rests, generous recline, and a short/mid height back that doesn't go up past my shoulder blades. My current chair is probably from the 1960s that no one else wanted in my office. I've never sat in a more comfortable chair. Will it be comfortable for everyone? NO. It doesn't matter how a chair is labeled (office, ergonomic, gaming, etc..) as long as it is comfortable for YOU. There are countless aftermarket pads available for chairs that you just need to find out which type of general structure that you like in a chair.

If you buy a well-built chair, it will last you for years. As long as the structure of the chair is still good, just buy new pads or take it to an upholsterer when the padding wears out. I don't care what chair you buy, you I'll eventually wear the padding enough that it won't offer the support as it once did.

Flame suit on!

Vouch.

I have a Arozzi Verona gaming chair, and I love it, 4 of my friends have different Arozzi gaming chairs and everyones liked them except one.
Arozzi is a slightly cheaper option to the DXRacers

I've never heard of massdrop before but looks like a pretty good idea... Do you use it? Do you actually get better pricing?

The company I work for has Arozzi through their distributor so I'm fine there, but if massdrop works as good as I am hoping for, I might shop around for other items

Depending on what you buy, But yea generally their prices are great. Only downside is 2-4weeks~ to get the item, since they have to order it -> Get it -> Re-box -> ship it to you.

Just ordered a Mionix Naos 7000 (like $60~ elsewhere) for $35 through them. And a $15 lock pick set.

I've ordered all sorts of things.
