Some motherboard have plastic battery saver on it check yours

Good point.

Translation: Check the motherboard CMOS battery for a circular plastic stick on...and make sure it is removed.

/e Sweet. The CMOS battery is NOT under the vid card. :D

/ee Not in your manual, but IS at the website....

...with the SSD you have, it shouldn't matter...but, might as well do it.

First things to check...

Make sure you hooked up the ASUS Q-connector...correctly.

/e This would be where the cases power switch is connected.

It works. The mobo has a few switches on itself. One being power. Once I pressed that power button everything else worked. Same with case power button.

Or maybe not... My Q connector didn't fit right, so it's hanging off a little bit. Ugh... Turned off power to make sure the case button worked. And now it doesn't. The light turns on though when everything else is running

Weird but OK.

Things to check in the BIOS (DEL key will enter the BIOS)

Turn OFF the ASUS logo.
Set the CPU fan speed to full on...aka, 100%.
Manually set the RAM freq. and timings.

Make sure SATA Mode Selection is set to AHCI. (Bottom pic of post #30)

That's about it.

Check to see that the SSD shows up in the BIOS.

/e The F10 key will save changes to the BIOS, and allow you to exit.
As for all other things in the BIOS....for now...the defaults should be fine.

/e If all the RAM shows up in the BIOS, and the other things are set accordingly...then, install Windows.

Also this...

/ee Almost forgot. Make SURE the time and date is set correctly in the BIOS, before installing anything.

Yeah it does. You don't HAVE to use it, but it definitely fits. :)

/e You may have it backwards or something.

I mean there is the really off chance that they sent the wrong one, but I doubt it.

Straight from your motherboard info on ASUS's site.

Just scroll down to see all the crap...

They did lmfao... I've tried it every way possible.

The pins blocked off don't match in any way shape or form to the mobo

. . . . O . . . . .
. . . . . . O . O .

The o's are the empty pins. That is my mobo. Here is the q pin.

. . . . O . . . .
O.o. . . . . .

The blank on the end of the q connector doesn't allow me to connect it.
