compare it to HWMonitor to get the correct CPU temp...for example I don't even have a CPU package temp.

/e I would guess CPU or CPU package.... w/e is ....highest. Mobo temp is pretty much ambient temp, inside case.

okay i did the CPU package this time, it rose up to 18c but it`s still below my mobo temp :huh:

and ye it`s i5 2500k with d14 noctua cooler

That's more likely.

/e If you look at post #1 in here...you'll see I don't even have CPU package temp, for a choice. I dun know Intel, but you can check AIDA against HWMonitor to find out which one is accurate. On AMD CPU's the "CPU temp" matches on both AIDA, HWMonitor and the BIOS.

The only thing I can think of that would account for that is a WC'd CPU and not enough case air flow ??
