Its the same shit. You're doing something without knowing what you're doing it for. If something is too good to be true, it is.

I doubt anyone would get charged for anything criminal, but they can't claim 100% innocence.

Yes they can, they have a whole video and everything saying they are just encrypting. No one has gotten in trouble, and nothing has happened. This doesn't do anything bad as far as anyone knows. I'll put my two 6970s to work when the second one gets here, and I'll make like 8BTC a day, enough that in a couple days I could get 200.

Point of the matter is this: I ran the thing for an hour and 10 minutes total and I got 0.02 bitcoins.

Worth it? I think not.

Two reasons why it's not worth it profit-wise:
1) The cost of energy
2) The wear and tear on the hardware running 100% all the time

Meh, I don't pay for power, so it's worth it for me. Also, it's cause you have a 5770.

And you'll get like .18 per hour with your dual setup. That's 4 per day if you use the comp to game for 2 hours.

It's the attitudes of little shits like you, as you turn into larger shits, that will run us into the ground.

4 a day in ten days would get me 40, which is like 150 USD.

you guys are obviously not doing it right. if you want real money you have to have many gpus working together (in about 4 days i'll have about 50+ working). also if you are using any of the public trackers you are getting scammed. each block is worth about 50-60 coins (i believe) and these sites harvest power from you (deepbit.com has like 326 Gh/s of processing power right now) and they get to keep 3% of each block and then the rest is split to others using the tracker depending upon if they choose a set rate (higher % taken away from then but steady payouts) or a pay per share system where one day you might make a bit more then the next. me and my irc network are currently setting up a private bitcoin daemon so that we get 100% of w/e coins we get to put it towards our other ongoing online projects.

doubt you will get that. 1 5850 card gets about 0.02595 coins an hour (and 6970 doesnt go much faster) so you are looking at 1 coin per 38~ hours per 1 card on any public tracker.

Why are you getting involved with this? The benefits rendered are so miniscule as compared to the cost of hardware and electricity.

Ghot is right: It's a pyramid scheme.
