A big screen is always nice, but if you're coming two from medium size screens I think you'd be disappointed with "only being able to do one thing."

I've been throwing around different screen configurations. I may get the 24" for my main screen and keep a 20.1" in portrait mode for web browser/api docs/etc.

I'm thinking of going from 2x20.1" @ 1680x1050 to a 24" @ 1920x1200. When you program a lot you start to crave huge amounts of desktop real estate.

I was fine with my 24" panel till i start editing photos.

Man these pics has alot of pixels. >_<

Hey rock.. you a camera dude too right? You never rated my pictures :(

I'm just getting into it. I picked up a D40 and I'm still using the stock lens until I get better. I didn't see any of your pics, I must have missed the thread or something. Link pl0x.

That's pretty much my setup right now, except I'm using a 17" on the side, and I love it.

Theres link. How much you paid for you d40? I need to upgrade bodies pretty soon. Already noticing limits to this body :/ The D40 should be a nice upgrade.

I paid $540 with tax for the D40, 15-55mm lens and 2 8gb SDHC cards. As far as an upgrade, the D40 is really about the same as far as features go.

As far as your pics go, I really, really enjoy them. You have a great sense for framing the picture and for getting good action shots. Definitely good stuff.

Argh wtfhax @ good deal.

The d40 seems like a good upgrade for me. The Xsi's AF hunts alot in low light situations, even paired with a fast AF lens such as the 70-200 f/2.8L. The d40 does alot better in that department. Not to mention better ergonomics/ build quality. Also slightly better high ISO noise performance.

Now i just need to hunt for a good deal ^^. And also thanks for the comments, theres still alot for me to learn. Loving the hobby :)
