The single fan cards are metal blades (or very hard plastic), squirrel cage design, and never break. Every EVGA card I own is like that..they are a superior design.

i try and always aim for twin frozr, or something like evga's new coolers. definitely more headroom, more cooling ( and in more open air cases, better flow ), and newer tech making them much quieter on lower loads.

This IS the reference model...NOT the two fan cards.

Every card I have is the reference SC model.

/e The squirrel cage fans are too small to tell what they are made of w/o scratching one of them with a screwdriver or something. All I can tell ya is they don't break ever. I don't even think I could break one of these tiny blades with my finger.

Also note how securely they are attached.
