Hnnnnnnnng should I buy this or not.
Decisions discussions.
Ended up buying one.
Instantly got buyers remorse since I should be saving money and I have no up front use for it.
But the shit I could make with it has endless possibilities. Especially if I couple it with my handful of tiny 2.4ghz receivers.
I could make anything such as computer stats/head up display, touch fan controllers, stats/function triggering on routers, media controllers, robotics controllers, and anything else that requires configuration or user interaction including all wireless counterparts. After all it is a HMI (Human Machine Interface).
I might couple it with my desktop for now via USB->UART serial interface to show live stats and change settings although I am trying to think of a good project to use it for. Since the GUI settings are savable and upload-able on the fly I can use the same panel for multiple projects.
Unfortunately I think it's just going to collect dust because even though I have all the tools and supplies, I can't think of any ideas that are interesting enough to put into physical form.
