1080p, 2ms, it'll do just fine for you. i have a 21.5" AOC monitor, and have been pleased with it for a few years now.

Good size. I have three 24" 1080p monitors and that are way too big to be practical.

Haven't really decided yet. We both have full tower ATX cases now so we have a lot of room to work with. Any recommendations? I was going to just look at reviews and see which ones seemed to perform the best.
