Are all weller tips compatible? I want the fully adjustable wes51 if anything. I don't want one with preset settings like the one you linked.

Well for that Soldering station it 's variable 5-40W and uses Weller ST series tips.

The station itself has a 7 year warranty.

/e So it'll solder very fine work and fairly hefty work as well.

Yea see theres the problem. It's amazons .com and .ca websites. If I go to search for those tips on .ca they list them for 60-80$ each...

Try using your URL and change it to .ca.

Maybe I'll just pay lee to buy them for me or something.

I'd get this one then get someone in the U.S. to get you the tips...Amazon.ca doesn't seem to carry the Weller ST series tips. :/

Still think I am going to get the WES51. I noticed that DIGIKEY sells the ET series tips for 4-5$ each to where I am. Would cost me about 120$ + like 15$ for a few extra tips, then another 20$ because I want a better solder pump and solder wick.

Only reason I like the WES51 is that I can actually set a specific semi accurate temperature where as the WLC100 you can only set the wattage output.

It's only got a 1 year warranty though.

I would Google (in Canada) Weller soldering stations, and see what you come up with.

It doesn't on the .ca website. I wonder if they transfer it over.

But still if the iron fails after 1 years I'll just fix it myself. It can't be that hard to fix an analog soldering station. I can't imagine it being more than a few resistors, caps, and a potentiometer.

Yea see: It's just a transistor, diod, and a pot. Not sure whats on the other side but its literally less than 6 parts.
