Is it just me or is all weller replacement parts super fucking expensive. 60$ + 40$ shipping for a single replacement tip? WTF amazon...

Might go with the hakko since replacement parts are cheaper even though the weller looks better.

I've only heard of Hakko on here...Every job and every military base I've been on, always used Weller.
They seem to last a lot longer than any other company's irons/stations.

Weller is the best, by leaps and bounds. I can't even imagine Weller needing any replacement parts, aside form tips, every 5 years or so. :)

Someone else on here bought Hakko, so they may have some info.

But replacement tips are so expensive though. I am looking for a flat/chisel tip as well as a point (which comes default). I've looked on amazon and it looks like if I want a chisel tip it's going to cost me almost as much as a brand new weller (60$ + 40$ shipping). Like wtf.
