You will also need some speaker wire, gauge depends on how far you gonna run the wires, with that setup (8 ohm) you are gonna want to use 16 awg up to 20', and 14 awg for up to 35'.

What headphones should i get that are less than $70?
Preferably something comfortable, for music and gaming.

People say the pads are pretty annoying though.

Don't get a Yamaha receiver. They used to be good, but are pretty crappy lately. A lot of weird glitches, including, but not limited to HDCP handshake problems over even medium-length HDMI runs.

Get this one instead: http://www.amazon.com/Denon-AVR-1912-Channel-Streaming-Receiver/dp/B004U403XQ/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1361508983&sr=1-8&keywords=denon+receiver

any source on that? I have a friend that bought the model I linked and I haven't heard anything of the sort. Not saying not a valid point, I know the menu on the yamaha video screen is archaic. A quick search netted me none of the issue you stated corrosponding to the model I linked so I dunno. Hate to be reccommending people faulty stuff.
