got any software to zero out a drive?
Best Windows installation - preperation Boot CD for SSD's or HDD's.1. Get Mini-Tools Partition Wizard boot CD here:
http://www.partitionwizard.com/partition-wizard-bootable-cd.html2. Use IMGBurn here:
http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download ...to burn the Partition Wizard boot CD.iso to a CD or DVD (has to be blank)
3. Boot from the Partition Wizard Boot CD....delete any and all partitions on the Hard drive.
4. On the left choose: "Wipe" ...then select the top choice: Write Zero's / 1 Pass ...it'll take a while. [1.5 hours for 300GB Sata II ]
5. Then on left choose: "Create Partition" ...make it Primary, NTFS, and Default Cluster Size...don't give it a drive letter !!
6. Then just install Windows 7 (clean install). Afterwards you can use the same Partition Wizard boot CD to: shrink the OS partition or create other partitions if you so desire.
