Patch notes (these will be live after this week's maintenance occurs):
Added:
- New game mode: Siege
- - - The Escort team leads a Scorpion Tank across the level. They have 3 minutes to reach and open each gate to allow the Scorpion Tank to advance further. Each time a gate is opened, the timer is reset to 3 minutes. If the tank reaches the end, the Escort team receives one point.
- - - The Defending team tries to prevent the Scorpion Tank from reaching the end of the level. If they do so successfully, no points are awarded to the Escort team.
- - - At the end of a round, the teams switch sides. After two rounds, the game ends.
- New map: Nuken (Siege only)
- New primary receiver: LMG-R
- New tactical gear: Respawn Beacon
- New hero: Deacon - T. Halsey
Fixed:
- An exploit where you could get onto the roof of the building in Seaport.
- An issue where manually exiting HRV would cause the HRV meter to drain and prevent you from entering ADS
- Spectators being stuck in transition from intermission to pre-game
Known Issues with the 981 patch:
- Manually changing teams in the second round of Siege can cause the UI to display incorrect scores for the rounds.
- The total teamscore (individual scores combined - not the score for winning/losing rounds) does not change sides after the first round with the players. This only comes into play during tiebreakers.
- The Repair Gun cannot repair the Scorpion Tank while it is in motion.
- There are a few starting areas in Nuken with missing floor textures.
- Placing the Respawn Beacon in an area that you cannot stand up in will not allow you to spawn on it.
